This way we promote an ethic consume of Internet at the same time we finance the alternative.
The Internet quotes and band width allows to finance the infrastructure monthly costs, the purchasing and installation of the main access points, as well as the jobs necessary for the daily running of the project.

Unlike other transnational enterprises that sell Internet access, from xsf-coop we promote shared connections between neighbors from the same building. This way of working, besides creating a community feeling, lowers individual costs of the connection and increases the exploitation of the bandwidth hired. So, for the final user the price gets cheaper than that he or she would pay to a conventional company if he or she coordinates with neighbors; this is because the basic unit of hiring is the building instead of the individual house; so we also promote cooperation between neighbors. |
